Spare Me Some Food

I am not proud of this... This is a picture of me begging for food.

Puppy eyes don't work in begging for tasty snacks. That's why I have to try and act 'cute' so they'd give me whatever it is they are eating. It doesn't always work, but it's worth giving a try.
Please

My Halloween (A Short Story)

*sniff  *sniff

I'm sick right now. Yesterday's trip to the vet didn't turn out so good. Actually, I was tricked into going to the vet! It all started like this...

I woke up on a beautiful Saturday morning very happy. I was in the playful mode and wanted to wrestle all my stuff toys. Then suddenly, Jennifer said I'm going out with her. Adrenaline rushed into my brains and got me so excited! I'm going to ride the car and drive off to some place. I didn't know where we were going...

Jennifer, Darlene and me were all squeezed in the front seats of the car. I tried to behave on the trip. I just looked out the window and watch the other cars passed by. Usually, I'd act like a spoiled brat and cry all the way to our destination but I didn't want to upset Darlene anymore. Her threats are a bit intimidating. I was in a good mood until suddenly, Darlene made a familiar turn.

The car turned and drove off a familiar street. Wait a minute! I know where we are heading! The moment I sensed this detour, I started to panic. "Please! Get me out of here!" I wanted to get off the car but couldn't. I know we are headed for the worst... We are heading to the vet clinic.

From that moment on, I hated Darlene and Jennifer for making a fool out of me. To get my revenge, I annoyed them by crying loudly all the way. I didn't stop not until we parked the car outside the worst place on earth.

I entered the clinic shivering. Not that it was cold, but my brain sense something bad is going to happen. Jennifer registered my name on the list. I saw two guys seated in the waiting area. Some good was on my side when I saw a pet cat inside a crate. I can't even bring myself to growl and bark at the cat due to so terrified of what's going to happen to me.

My heart began pounding really fast. I was shivering a little. Jennifer, who was carrying me noticed it and started to make fun of me. I'm not the only one scared to death! Other dogs there were also shivering scared. There was a poodle, who was in line behind me, calling his owner and trying to lure her towards the exit door. Those pets who weren't scared are too young or stupid (or both) to realize what their owners has gotten them into. A rush of blood shot to my head when my name was called.

No matter how nice my doctor is, I still think she's the scariest lady on earth. Jennifer put me down on that cold steel table and left me there. I thought I was being sold because they started to weigh me and check my appearance. If I didn't pee before leaving home, I really would've peed on the table.

Then the doctor injected me with my vaccine. As if one shot wasn't painful enough, she shot me twice! It was painful! I was expecting to turn into a monster next but luckily, nothing happened. I didn't morphed into a monster-like creature. After that, the doctor said I can go home.

I got home really excited to see Mommy and Kim again. I played a little and ate my lunch. Then I started feeling weird. I was beginning to feel hot and weak. I must've fell asleep because next thing I know, I woke up beside Kim who's cuddling me. I didn't want to move nor did I feel like moving at all. I just wanted to rest. So I went back to sleep.

I was burning up. Kim said I had a fever. I just lied down on the couch the whole evening. Aside from the fever, my body was also painful. No one dared to carry me because I'd whimper if someone moved me. I was in pain and they all knew it.

I fell asleep straight through the night I was surprised to see that it was already morning when I woke up. I really got a good night sleep. Maybe because of the medicine Kim gave me.

I'm feeling much better now. I still have a slight fever but I expect to be well soon. I'm so happy I'm getting back to my normal self again. Kim said I may be having a bit of a grudge against Jennifer, because she's the one who brought me to the doctor, but I don't.

Really, I don't.

New Way of Eating

HELP!!! My butt got glued to the floor! No... just kidding. I'm really having a hard time eating my lunch while sitting down. In case you don't have a dog, we usually eat standing on all our 4 legs. I'm just trying out what it feels like eating while seated on my butt.

I have to admit, it's pretty hard. My neck isn't long enough to reach my bowl. And I'm getting tired stretching out to reach the food.
