Attached to a Toy

Kim bought me a new toy! No matter how old I am, I still like toys!

At first Kim thought I wouldn't like the toy she got me because all my toys are plush. I've got a lot of plush toys already, so Kim decided I should try playing with something new.

She got me this long red wooly dog that squeaks at the head and tail.

I don't know how to make it squeak by myself, so, the first few days of playing it, I'd whimper all around the house with the toy in my mouth because I can't get it to squeak. All that crying made Kim regret of getting me the toy.

Now, who would have known I'd get attached to it. I have never gotten attached to anything in my life. Sure, I'd bring around a new toy for a couple of hours from receiving it, but I don't get attached to it not more than a day.

I bring it with me to bed...

I still have it with me when I wake up in the morning...

I play with it the whole day...

And I still play with it when it's night.

I bring my new toy everywhere with me!

Me, You and My Friend Blue

Meet my latest addition to my toy collection - Blue. Since I do not watch TV, I do not who who this Blue dog is.

What I love to do with Blue is grab him my his ear and wrestle him.

Here I am hanging out with Blue. I think he's imitating me.

Merry Me

Merry Christmas everyone!

I can't believe I have a surprise gift!
Darlene, Jennifer and Kim surprised me with a gift. I must admit, at first I thought they were giving me a lousy paper bag

I'm checking what's inside. It's really hard to open a gift if you don't have any hands!

Oh wow! Look! They gave me another stuff toy!

They gave me a Smurf!

Slippers

When I was young, I used to enjoy stealing slippers and chewing on them. Everybody was mad about it. I remember when they leave their slippers, they had to hide it from me. They made sure that the slippers are not within my reach.

When I did get hold of a slipper, they would chase me around the house to retrieve what I stole. It was irritating for them but quite fun for me. I had thought of it as a fun game of running around the house.

I have ruined a couple of slippers in my puppy days. We have a lot of slippers here that lost it's pair. If chasing me would make them mad, ruining their slippers made them furious. I got shout at and scolded a lot of times already because of it.

Now that I have grown up, I'm old enough to know that playing with slippers will get me in trouble.

See, I won't even bother taking this pair of cute slippers.

Before and After

Look how times flies by so fast. Do I still look like the tiny puppy in the "before" picture?

The "Before" picture was taken when I was about a month and a half old. Beside me is my very first toy, "Hippo".

Three and a half years later, I have grown up to be a cute dog. If you noticed, I wasn't the only one who grew  up in the picture, Hippo also grew up.

Don't Mess with the Angry Birds

I swear I didn't steal any eggs... I don't even eat eggs...

I have to protect myself so I made a fort out of pillows.

These Angry Birds are accusing me of stealing their eggs, within a couple of minutes, more came to attack me...

Nah... the Angry Birds aren't really attacking me. I just thought it would be fun to play with these plush toys.

Waiting to Dry

Constantly playing with my stuff toys get them dirty. And when it's dirty, people here kind of get disgusted with it. So, they wash it clean again. If you ask me, I don't mind whether it's dirty or clean, all I want is to play with them.

Kim and Jen try so hard to try to hide and take away any of my stuff toy away from me. Because once I see that they got it, I will want to get it back from them. So it's really hard for them to wash any of my toys. They have to be cautious enough to secretly steal them away from me.

As if the stealing part wasn't hard enough, another obstacle come their way when they try to hang it up to dry. They can't just hang it up anyway. Because once I see my toys, I'll want it back. So, they have to sneak it outside so I won't see them.

Once my toys are outside, they still aren't safe. Because when the wind blow towards the door, guess what happens? I'll be able to pick up the scent of my toys. So their sneaking around doesn't exactly pay off since I can smell my toys out.

Here I am trying to reach my toys which are hanging out to dry.

Look Who I Found

Here's a picture of me attacking a sea turtle.... No... I'm playing with my toy, Mr. Turtle. I was talking about him in my previous entry and thought there wasn't any picture of him. I'm so glad I found my one and only picture of him.

Playmates

A good advice I can give pet owners is to give your pets' toys names. Therefore, we will know which toy you are referring to.

All my toys have a specific name. They always give my toys, especially the stuff toys, names. Some are silly, like "Mr. Turtle" while some are practical like "Lion". When they ask me to "Get Teddy." I know which toy they want me to bring them.

It's been like this since the very first toy I got.

Look at that cute puppy with her stuff toy. Would you be surprise if I tell you that that puppy in the picture is none other than me? There I am with my very first toy "Hippo".

Hippo is a tiny pink hippopotamus. Hippo died when I was teething. But imagine if I have Hippo now. I can fit the whole thing in my mouth!

Then came "Dalmatian". Dalmatian is a stuff toy from the cartoons 101 Dalmatian. Since no one here remembers even one name from the 101 dalmatian dogs in the cartoon, they just named him "Dalmatian". Dalmatian used to be my night companion. Back when I was around 3 or 4 months old, I don't sleep through the whole night. I just take naps at night. And when I'm awake in the dark room where everyone else is sleeping and snoring, Dalmatian was there right beside me, ready to play. I really thought Dalmatian was real before. Then I notice that he doesn't move or make a sound, even when I wrestle him.

After Dalmatian I have a turtle doll names "Mr. Turtle". I don't know where he went, but I have a wild guess I might have been too rough on him. Mr. Turtle is probably on the "other side" now.

I have loads of toys that I'll probably talk about next time. All these memories left me feeling sad that the toys I just showed you are now gone.

Meet Lion

Look who's stealing my limelight when I'm asleep....

Chester

Talk about annoying... Here I am sleeping and Kim decided to take my picture. She'd disturbing my nap!
Here I am with Chester, one of my many toys. Aside from a good wrestling buddy, Chester can be a soft and comfy pillow! To tell you the truth, I'm using Chester as a pillow so that no one can get it from me. I do not like other people touching my toys.

I'm selfish especially if it's a new toy. I'd sleep with my toy or touch it so that I'll know if someone tries to move it.

New Toys

Meet my 2 new toys, Jacob and Bone-Bone.

They usually give my toys names. And it's not because I befriend my toys. It's for me to know which toy they are referring to.

One of the games I love to play is hidden objects game. In my case, it's me searching for my toys around the house. They'd start the game by saying "Where's Jacob?". Upon hearing that, I'm set to look for Jacob around the house. Sniffing every corner there is and peeking every table top. This game is easy if you have a superb sense of smell, like me.

Imagine if they didn't named my toys. How will I know which toy I should find if they said, "Coco, where's your toy?" That'll be a hard game since I'll be looking for all my toys.

I just wish Jacob and Bone would live long. Most of my toy die quickly. (R.I.P. Mr. Turtle...)

The Best Guard Dog

I recently recieved a new toy. A pretzel-shaped rubber chew toy. I LOVE toys! Especially when it's new. I think Jennifer threw away my old toys - a tennis ball and a red rubber ball. It's probably because I over-chewed them.

So, when Kimberly gave me a new toy, I was so excited. I hate it when Kim has something I want. It's because she'll really make me work hard for it before handing it over to me. She's make me do every single trick I know. So, I have to sit, lie down, roll over, turn around and shake her hands a dozen times. But, even after doing those, she still won't hand it over easily. Even when I start crying for it, she still won't give it.

After doing a dozen tricks that made me a little dizzy, I finally got this pretzel! I was happily playing it for a few minutes until I got tired. No, I didn't get tired of it, I literally got tired! But, I do not want to let go of my toy because I'm afraid they might get it and hide it from me. So, I did this...

Here I am guarding my toy. I have to keep it in my paw-grip so they can't take it away. The moment someone tries to do something sneaky, I grab the toy quickly with my mouth and run for it!

While resting, I still have to keep my guard up. Instead of always watching over it, I put it on top of me paw. My paws were getting a little tired from trying to grip it. Putting it on top of my paw will still alert me when someone tried to take it.
When I can no longer force my eyes to open I finally fell asleep. But, still, no one can take that toy away from me! I slept on it! That way, I can feel it when someone tries to take it away. What can I say, I'm a clever dog!

New Plan

Since I want to transfer my old blog to this new one, I've decided not only to post the link of my previous blog but re-write it here, little by little. Aside from the amazing stories, I also got a lot of cute puppy pictures I don't want to waste! Like this adorably cute picture of me sleeping.

I was only 1 month old here. I used to sleep a lot! And I would sleep anywhere that people around the house can't even find me. The pink hippo used to be my favorite toy until I bit of all 4 of it's legs off. I sure miss Hippo...

Well now, I know where the good spot to take a naps are.

That's me sleeping on a comfy couch. I don't usually sleep on the couch, I prefer sleeping on the cold floor, but, there are times when I'm too sleepy and lazy to jump off the couch. So, I fell asleep there.

Stuck On Me

I have a green rubber ring toy which I play a lot. It’s been with me for quite a long time now. I am amazed myself that up until now, it’s still a whole piece. Toys don’t usually last with me, you see. I love playing that green toy. There are times that I could not find it anywhere, but, when Kim gives it back to me, boy, am I happy!

I am starting to notice why they hide that green toy from me. Here’s a picture of me playing with it. Look at it carefully…

Can you see the green ring stuck behind my teeth? I was happily playing with it until this happened. I could not get it out. Everyone was freaking out when they saw my dilemma, I can try to pull it off with my paws or have someone help me with it.

This is the second time this has happened. The first time was last year. When Mommy saw what happened, she carried me and pry it off. It was scary since everyone around heard something. It sounded like my 2 fangs are going to come off as well. So, when Mommy saw this happening, she told everyone else to leave me alone.

I tried and tried to take it off all by myself. It’s hard to take that toy off without having any fingers you know. I jump on the couch, off the couch and back on the couch. I was getting scared myself. I could not live with a green ring stuck around my mouth.

Eventually, I was successful in removing that ring.

And if you think I’d stop playing with it, then you are wrong. I still love my green ring toy!
