Valentine's Day

For this year's Valentine's Day, I had set up a kissing booth outside.

Sadly, no one came...

Sitting in my booth all day made me sleepy...

Waikiki

Hello, or should I say "Aloha!"

Here I am waiting for the sunset at beautiful Waikiki Beach. I had a lot of fun strolling along the busy sidewalk. A lot of people gave me a compliment. They say I am cute and fluffy.

I am resting on a bench. I get tired easily because I am not used to long walks.

A girl liked me so much, she asked if she can pet me. I wish Jennifer or Kimberly disagreed because she grab my fur and kept saying "You're so fluffy!" in my face.

My fur grew really fluffy, maybe because of the change of climate. The fluffier I am, the more people think I am cute. So, I like being fluffy.

After a long evening, we went home. I was soooooo tired, so was knocked out fast.

Aloha!

Aloha! I have now relocated to paradise. I now live in Hawaii.

On December, my family brought me to Hawaii. The experience was terrifying but the outcome is great! It all started on December 15th...

Everyone have their luggage packed but no one is bothering me. I thought they're going somewhere and were leaving me behind because they are not bothering me. I guess they were just busy. Or, they just don't want to let me know that we are going somewhere. You see, I get pretty excited when I know I'm going out. So excited that I become uncontrollable.

Thinking back, now I know why they bought me a new crate. I thought they want to punish me by locking me up in there. Anyway, back to my story...

They made me eat my lunch and go potty before leaving. They packed up all my clothes and toys. Then, Mommy told me we're leaving! We got in the car and drove to the airport.

They forgot to pack my leash with them so at the airport, a little fluffy dog went wild and crazy! When they chase me down and caught me, they made me sit on top of my crate so I won't go running wild again.

As irresistible as I am, a lot of tourists find me cute. A couple of girls came and play with me. Actually, they love me so much that one of the girls wouldn't let go of me. They thought I look like a plush toy. It hurt when she grab onto my paw when her mommy called her to leave.

After this is the most terrifying moment, they left me. My family left me there inside the crate. I kept crying and whimpering because I was very scared.

After 10 boring hours of sleeping through the flight, I woke up and saw my family again.

Quarantine at the Honolulu airport was easy breezy because Darlene and Kim made sure they followed all the requirements.

After that, we went to my new home next. At first I wasn't used to the new surrounding. But now that I have settled in, I'm loving it here.

I'm so happy this long trip turned out to be a very happy ending. I love Hawaii. I just haven't gone to the beach yet. Maybe next time...

High Five! I Turn 5!

Happy Birthday to me! I turn 5 years old this year.

Lazy Sunday Morning

Good morning!

I sometimes like to sleep in. I just want to lie down on a bed all day and be wrapped up in pillows and blanket.

But, as much as I would like to spend my entire day lying down like this, nature calls and ruin this moment. I have to go and pee.

Under Wraps

The weather here is cooler than usual because of all the monsoon rain this rainy season is bringing.

Here's a nice way to keep warm on a chilly day... wrap yourself up.

It sure does feel warm and cozy under these wraps...

The problem with being wrapped up is that all my legs are under here and I cannot move.

I wonder how am I going to get off the couch now...

Johnson Baby

Bath time for me again. When the weather is cold, I take a bath in the shower where they would use hot water on me. Don't worry, the water is not too hot, it's just warm enough so that I won't catch a cold.

You guys might be wondering how I get my super soft and lustrous fur... Well, I get it from my special shampoo. I say "special" because it's not really for dogs to use. I use Johnson's No More Tangles Shampoo, it's the blue one.

Why do I prefer to use the No More Tangles one? Well, it's because it's the one made for thick fur... I mean hair. I'm just kidding, I use this shampoo because it's 2-in-1. It has conditioner in it. The conditioner helps my fur dry faster and it's also what makes it so soft.

Since I have been using this shampoo for 4 years now, I do not smell like an ordinary dog anymore. I smell like a baby! The scent of the shampoo is how I smell. My neighbors always compliment on how good I smell. I'm the dog known in my neighborhood as the cleanest dog on the block.

Recently, Kim decided to change things up and test out Johnson's Baby Shampoo with Natural Lavender. This one doesn't have any extra conditioning in it. Everyone loves the smell of lavender so they say I smell so good.

Because lavender has a natural calming effect, I feel so calm and sleepy after a bath... No... I'm joking. The calming effect doesn't work on me!

Merry Me

Merry Christmas everyone!

I can't believe I have a surprise gift!
Darlene, Jennifer and Kim surprised me with a gift. I must admit, at first I thought they were giving me a lousy paper bag

I'm checking what's inside. It's really hard to open a gift if you don't have any hands!

Oh wow! Look! They gave me another stuff toy!

They gave me a Smurf!

Four-ever Young

It's December 19th, so, that means it's my birthday again! I turn 4 years old today, that's in "human years". Gosh, I'm old in dog years.

I have a cute little party hat on and a cupcake to celebrate my special day. Can you imagine I'm 4 already?! Do I look old? I didn't feel anything changed. I still LOVE to play, and I still love all my toys!

I guess the cupcakes were just for photos, I'm not even allowed to eat it... *sigh

Where's Coco?

"Where's Coco?"
That's what they say when we're playing a hide-and-seek game.
They try to seek me out but they cannot find me. I feel like a ninja hiding in my hiding place...

No one can find me even when I'm just hiding under the bed sheets. Maybe because when someone yells, "where's Coco?", I suddenly stay very still. I wouldn't dare move a muscle. If I move, they'd find me and the game will be over.

They caught me!
No matter how fun the game is, it eventually has to stop. I can't hide there forever...

Caught in the Act

I have already told you here about my bad habit of licking my paws. I didn't realize that I have doing it very often now.

Here, i got caught licking on my paws. Notice that one of my front paws is turned upside down?

Jennifer sure likes to make fun of me by taking another photo of me doing the act. I'm too ashamed to look at the camera here.

I didn't even know when they took this one. I'm so busy with my paws here that I didn't noticed the camera.

COCOnut

When I got sick, my doctor told me to drink coconut juice. I'm allowed to drink half a cup of it.

Kim's favorite drink is ice cold coconut. She used to have it almost everyday. She'd freeze the coconut juice she bought then drink it when it's already frozen. Kim's favorite drink became MY favorite as well!

If you look at the picture closely, you'd see that my coconut juice is icy. Drinking warm coconut juice just doesn't taste good, it makes me think I'm drinking plain water. These ice cold coconut is a real treat for me. They used to give me only the juice. But now, they include some coconut bits inside.

Coconuts help me cool down on a hot summer day. After I empty my bowl, I'd feel so refreshed. My mouth is so cold. It's funny when I poke someone's leg with my cold mouth, they'd get so surprised that they jump.

I love coconuts! Coconuts drives Coco nuts.

A word of advice, if you give your dogs coconut juice, expect them to pee a lot. I'd pee so many times after a bowl of juice. It really helps if your dog knows how to go pee by themselves like I do.

Shedding My Fur Coat

I'm the breed of dog that sheds their fur during different seasons of the year. Shedding doesn't really bothers me, but it bothers my family. Whenever I shed, strands of fur are spread all over the house. The floor are covered with tiny fur balls. I try to help them clean my fur up by eating them. But what I thought is helping is cannibalism for them. They told me not to eat "Coco", so I stopped. Fur balls caught up in my throat is NOT a good feeling anyway.

Here's a before and after shot of me.

The 'before' shot was taken last December. It was colder then so my fur grew thick. It was so thick that it made me look fat. Look at the "fold" of fur on my neck!

When my fur is thick, they really like it. I get more neck scratches because they think I'm cute. They also like grabbing my soft fur.

When summer is near, I'd shed most of fur so I can survive the summer heat. So, from that furry dog, I'd turn in a.... chubby dog. If you look at the 'after' picture, my fur is a less than before. I'm not that furry anymore. So, to make me still look cute, I make myself chubby. I'm much more hug-able when I'm chubby. The downside of being chubby is, you'd get a lot of nicknames... I'm being called "Chubster" among many other names.

I don't mind whether I'm furry or chubby. How about you, which look do you prefer?

Shop 'til I Drop

I was so happy this past weekend, I got to go to the mall.

There isn't a lot of pet-friendly malls around here so I was so happy when Darlene said Kim can bring me to the mall. Of course they didn't let me know I was going to join them at first because just the thought of it will get me too excited to do anything else. It really came as a surprise to me when, after finishing a bowl of my early lunch, they broke the good news that I am going to go out with them.

The Eastwood Mall is one of the rare malls here that allows pet inside. I was strolling around the mall on a leash. I'm really excited the entire time, that I was in a hurry to walk.

I got to the mall a bit early, I think, because, I seem to be the only dog there. I didn't met any other pet while I was there. The people are great though. I love the people who thought I was cute.

If you didn't notice, I'm wearing a traditional Korean dress called a "hanbok". If you didn't know what costume I'm wearing, it's okay. The only people who got to notice my cute outfit is two Korean teenage girls who were giggling while pointing at me. I bet they thought I was fashionable.

What made me sad is that even though the mall is pet-friendly, the boutiques aren't. Most of the stores does not allow pet inside. I really hate it that I have to stay outside and wait for Darlene, Jen or Kim to come out.

All that walking sure made all of us tired. So we all decided to rest and eat.

With all the food on the table, the only thing I'm allowed to have is water. The waitress was kind enough to give me a plastic cup so I can have a sip, I mean, lick, of the ice cold water to cool me down.

I did some people watching while Dar, Jen and Kim were having their meal. I must admit, I like the attention I get from the people passing by.

At the end of our trip, I got so exhausted. I'm not used to all that walking...

Don't ask me what happened in the car ride home, I have no idea because I'm so exhausted that I was knocked out as soon as I took my seat.

In LOVE

I just want to greet you all a Happy Valentine's Day!

As you can see in this picture, I'm in love... literally!

Playmates

A good advice I can give pet owners is to give your pets' toys names. Therefore, we will know which toy you are referring to.

All my toys have a specific name. They always give my toys, especially the stuff toys, names. Some are silly, like "Mr. Turtle" while some are practical like "Lion". When they ask me to "Get Teddy." I know which toy they want me to bring them.

It's been like this since the very first toy I got.

Look at that cute puppy with her stuff toy. Would you be surprise if I tell you that that puppy in the picture is none other than me? There I am with my very first toy "Hippo".

Hippo is a tiny pink hippopotamus. Hippo died when I was teething. But imagine if I have Hippo now. I can fit the whole thing in my mouth!

Then came "Dalmatian". Dalmatian is a stuff toy from the cartoons 101 Dalmatian. Since no one here remembers even one name from the 101 dalmatian dogs in the cartoon, they just named him "Dalmatian". Dalmatian used to be my night companion. Back when I was around 3 or 4 months old, I don't sleep through the whole night. I just take naps at night. And when I'm awake in the dark room where everyone else is sleeping and snoring, Dalmatian was there right beside me, ready to play. I really thought Dalmatian was real before. Then I notice that he doesn't move or make a sound, even when I wrestle him.

After Dalmatian I have a turtle doll names "Mr. Turtle". I don't know where he went, but I have a wild guess I might have been too rough on him. Mr. Turtle is probably on the "other side" now.

I have loads of toys that I'll probably talk about next time. All these memories left me feeling sad that the toys I just showed you are now gone.

Table Dog

There are those weird times when I want to be left on top of a table. It happens quite often, mostly, during the mornings. They call it "Table Dog". The name is kind of funny, but I already knows what it means.

Maybe you're wondering how do I actually ask to become a table dog. All I have to do is sit near a table and look at someone. If it doesn't get their attention, I'd flash them my irresistible puppy eyes. They normally notice me sitting still on the floor because I don't normally sit still in one place. Then they'd ask me "Table dog?" If I let them carry me then I want to be put on the table. If I don't want to, then, I'd avoid them trying to carry me. Even though I do not talk, I'm really glad they still understand me.

What do I do when I'm on top of the table? Nothing really. I just sleep. Sometimes, I like getting a tummy rub or a neck scratch.

Being a table dog, I'm stuck on top of the high table. I'm too small to jump off the table (I'm also too scared to try it.) So, are you wondering how will they know if I want to go down and does not want to be a table dog anymore? I'd stand near the edge of the table. Then somebody will ask me if I want to go down yet. If I just stood there, then that means I want to go down. But if I lied back down then that simply means I want to stay.

I Love the Cold Weather

I like the colder weather we're having lately. And this is making my fur thicker than usual. I'm a bit fluffier now. They made me wear a sleeveless shirt every time now. I even have to wear it during night times to keep me from getting cold. Really, a plain cotton shirt like this won't do any difference in making me feel warmer in an air-conditioned room. Lucky for them, I'm used to wearing a shirt now so I don't try to rip it off anymore.

When it's always cold like this, I tend to get lazy. I noticed I've been sleeping more and my naps are becoming longer. Mommy said I've been waking up later than I normally would in the morning. I used to be an early-riser and wake up at 5:30am, but now, the latest I've woken up is at 7:30am. That's a big difference!

I wish the weather stays like this. Because whenever it's hot, I do get a really hard time dealing with the heat. Just imagine wearing a fur coat that you cannot take off.

PS. I'm not mad in the picture on the right, I think they just shot the picture at the wrong time.
