Down By The Sea

I used to always hear all of them ask each other about what will happen if they ever bring me to the beach. They would wonder whether I'll eat the sand of not, or if I'm goind to be scared of the water or if I'll run like crazy on the sand and never come back to them. Well... all their [stupid] questions are finally answered on the weekend of July 25 and 26 where they brought me along with them on their short vacation.

I notice it was a little hard for them to look for a beach to check-in since either the resort does not allow pets or are full. I was relieved when they finally found a nice place to stay in. I was getting bored riding in the car where they have me sleep the whole time. I didn't let them down as I was in my best behavior in the car. I know that it isn't our car, I'm scared that the owner might scold me when I'm noisy.

Mommy brought me to the beach. She used a leash on me though... She was afraid I might run wildly on the sand or I might attack other swimmers. That's a picture of me checking out the view. I can't believe all the water surrounding me. If you're a big follower of my stories, you should know by now that I am not a big fan of water. Bath time terrifies me. So, try to guess what's going on in my mind when I saw all that water. I have to admit, I was scared Mommy might throw me in.

When Kim came, she thought it would be fun to run by the shore. It was, of course, not fun for me. She took me on a leash and drag me to run around. And I noticed that little by little, she would run nearer the water. The first moment the water touched my bare paws, I jumped a little and stepped back. Then every time a wave would come up, I'd run back up. After a while, I got used to the water and didn't mind about the waves. Kimberly wanted to soak me in the salty water, but Jennifer said I would take a long time to dry up.

Now that I've been to a beach, I can now say that it isn't as scary as I thought it would be. Just don't throw me in the water...
