New Year's Resolution

Now that it's a start of a brand new year, I thought about having a New Year's Resolution of my own. I thought about so many things that I can change - try to bark less, try not to get too mad when people and other animals tresspass on my property, try to exercise by running around the house more, try to not ask for food too much. But among all those, I think what I really need to do is try to be more friendly.

I think I'm an anti-social dog. I thought of everyone as intruders. I get so mad and barked like crazy when someone crosses my (invisible) line. If someone knocks on our door for the first time, they'd sure be surprised by a small dog charging it's way to the door to bark the hell out of them. I also bark at birds who might just be resting on the ground. I bark at my neighbor dogs who might think I'm crazy by now. I see their faces, all my neighbor dogs ignore me. One time, I had this tiny chihuahua visiting me, he was taking a stroll then stopped in front of me. But, I can't help myself and I barked him to go away. I never got a visitor ever since. Do you think they gossip about me? Talking about how crazy and noisy that fluffy brown dog is?

I should be more friendly towards other dogs and kids alike. I like kids. There's a couple of little kids I recognize now that I do not bark at. But the neighborhood has a whole lot of kids that are terrified by me. When walking around outside, I can hear them talking about me. Saying how vicious I am. It's not a good thing to say. There's even one time when this one kid would tease me and dance outside my door. He knows I won't be able to chase him down since the door is locked. That kid is really annoying!

So, for this year, I need to try and befriend at least someone or some dog around the neighborhood. I need a friend.

Holiday Cheer

Merry Christmas!!

Bubble Dreams

Here I am curious about Bubbles. What are they? At first I was so curious about what they are, I got a little afraid of it. Avoiding the floating bubbles coming towards me. I realized that you can't run away from the bubbles. Especially if you're on a bench and the only way to go is back or front. (FYI, I do not jump of the bench afraid my tiny legs won't be able to catch my fall.)

After being showered with bubbles, it was kind of fun playing with them. I think you imagined me popping the bubbles with my paws right? Well... you're WRONG! I do this instead....
It doesn't exactly work. And I think I look stupid trying to eat the bubbles.

I think too much bubbles can look scary. So I just sat still waiting for all of them to go away.

New Toys

Meet my 2 new toys, Jacob and Bone-Bone.

They usually give my toys names. And it's not because I befriend my toys. It's for me to know which toy they are referring to.

One of the games I love to play is hidden objects game. In my case, it's me searching for my toys around the house. They'd start the game by saying "Where's Jacob?". Upon hearing that, I'm set to look for Jacob around the house. Sniffing every corner there is and peeking every table top. This game is easy if you have a superb sense of smell, like me.

Imagine if they didn't named my toys. How will I know which toy I should find if they said, "Coco, where's your toy?" That'll be a hard game since I'll be looking for all my toys.

I just wish Jacob and Bone would live long. Most of my toy die quickly. (R.I.P. Mr. Turtle...)

Here Comes A Groom

The time has finally come that my fur has grown back. If you're my fan, you probably read the horrible fur-cut I had a few months back. I was almost bald back then, I almost looked like a chihuahua. You'd know that you have an ugly cut when your neighbor keeps on repeating "Oh... it's short.... your fur used to be long and pretty, but now.... it's short... really short." Well... enough with that because I'm back to the way I was.

But, as happy as I can be with my fur now, there's always a sad consequence - I have to go and get a fur-cut. And you know how terrified I am with that.

Mommy said she'd watch the groomer like a hawk this time. Any mistake and the grommer's dead! Mommy won't let any disaster happen to me again.

I never posted any photo of me with my horrible cut, and I know it makes you wonder what I look like. Since I'm back to normal, I finally decided to let the photos out, here's a before and after shot of me...

This is my "Before" shot...

And "After".

Shhh.... Sleeping

I don't know about other dogs, but, I usually sleep all day. I nap in the morning, I sleep all through the afternoon, and there's another nap in the evening. You think I have a problem falling asleep at night? Nope! I get sleepy at around 9:30pm. I think I got this from Darlene, who, like me, also loves to sleep.

Here I am sleeping... I usually sleep on the floor, especially when it's really hot. There are times when I look for the comfort of a soft couch. Other dogs aren't allowed to go up on couches, but, since Mommy loves me, I can do whatever I want!

And this is me sleeping again. They say this position makes me look like a cat, which is an insult because I hate cats!

And when I'm really sound asleep, I sleep like this. And first it freaks people out thinking something bad might've happened to me. I remember when Daddy saw me like this for the first time. He quickly called Jennifer to check if somethings wrong with me.
There are also times when I'm so into my sleep, that I have nightmares. Bad dreams that makes me cry or make me look like I'm running. I do not know how I can have nightmares. Maybe it has something to do with the gang of stray cats I see outside. They haunt me in my sleep.

Halloween Costume Picks

Halloween is just around the corner and here are my top 3 picks for my costume this year...

Costume #1, a Chicken.

Everyday, I look out my window and what do I see? Chickens! Clucking freely outside. To make things clear, I do not live in a farm. I'm a city dog, but, my neighbor decided to raise a flock of chickens. When Kimberly walks me outside, one of the the fun things we would do is to chase the chickens away. You should see me and Kim, we are so happy. It's really funny how the chickens run away in terror. The fun ends when we see the chickens' owner face, she looks angry. She does not like her chickens to be aggravated like that.

So, maybe, if I can be a chicken for a day, they might make me fun freely outside. And I can try and blend in the flock. Costume #2, a Giraffe.

I haven't seen a giraffe in real life (obviously, I am not allowed in a zoo) but I have seen one on tv. Yes, I watch tv sometimes. Especially if animals or cartoons are on. Those kind of stuff catches my attention. Anyway, back to my topic... I wanted to become a giraffe because I am amazed about how tall they are! If I'm as tall as a giraffe, I would be able to reach all my toys that's placed on high table tops. I would not need to bark to call somebody and beg for them to hand me my toy. If I'm a giraffe, I can simply get it myself.

Wait a minute... I'm guessing I won't be as tall as a giraffe just because I'll be dressing like one. Anyway, I think the weird things beside their ears are funny and this costume has them!

Costume #3, a Super Hero.

I want to be a Super Hero. I want to be Super Coco and attack all the stray cats outside. I want to be Super Coco and save Kim from the evil Cockroach. I can run really really fast and the cape that comes with this costume can help me with my speed. Hope this costume can make also strenghten my stamina because too much playing can knock me out to sleep in an instant.

So, those are my top 3 picks for this Halloween. But, thinking about it again, I hate wearing clothes. So, making me wear those would just irritate me and all that I'll be doing is trying to get my clothes off. I don't think these costumes are a good idea anymore...
