In LOVE

I just want to greet you all a Happy Valentine's Day!

As you can see in this picture, I'm in love... literally!

Look Who I Found

Here's a picture of me attacking a sea turtle.... No... I'm playing with my toy, Mr. Turtle. I was talking about him in my previous entry and thought there wasn't any picture of him. I'm so glad I found my one and only picture of him.

Happy Chinese New Year

I just want to greet you all a happy lunar new year!

Playmates

A good advice I can give pet owners is to give your pets' toys names. Therefore, we will know which toy you are referring to.

All my toys have a specific name. They always give my toys, especially the stuff toys, names. Some are silly, like "Mr. Turtle" while some are practical like "Lion". When they ask me to "Get Teddy." I know which toy they want me to bring them.

It's been like this since the very first toy I got.

Look at that cute puppy with her stuff toy. Would you be surprise if I tell you that that puppy in the picture is none other than me? There I am with my very first toy "Hippo".

Hippo is a tiny pink hippopotamus. Hippo died when I was teething. But imagine if I have Hippo now. I can fit the whole thing in my mouth!

Then came "Dalmatian". Dalmatian is a stuff toy from the cartoons 101 Dalmatian. Since no one here remembers even one name from the 101 dalmatian dogs in the cartoon, they just named him "Dalmatian". Dalmatian used to be my night companion. Back when I was around 3 or 4 months old, I don't sleep through the whole night. I just take naps at night. And when I'm awake in the dark room where everyone else is sleeping and snoring, Dalmatian was there right beside me, ready to play. I really thought Dalmatian was real before. Then I notice that he doesn't move or make a sound, even when I wrestle him.

After Dalmatian I have a turtle doll names "Mr. Turtle". I don't know where he went, but I have a wild guess I might have been too rough on him. Mr. Turtle is probably on the "other side" now.

I have loads of toys that I'll probably talk about next time. All these memories left me feeling sad that the toys I just showed you are now gone.

Veterinary Tales

Kim and Darlene brought me to the vet clinic for another check-up. I was so excited to go out that I didn't know we were actually going to that dreadful place. I only knew we were headed towards the vet when we past the familiar roads. I was on a frenzy when we were a block away from the clinic. I can sense the smell of pain...

Just because I tremble whenever we go to the vet doesn't mean I'm cold. But Kim decided to have me wear a hoodie. She makes me wear clothes because she thinks my doctor likes to see me wearing clothes and thinks I'm cute. Good thing that day was cool so I didn't over-heated in my hoodie.

Here, I'm being weighed by the clinic staff. Look at the look I have, I think it's pretty obvious that I am terrified to death. I hate it when the cold stainless steel table touches my paws. It makes me tremble even more. Sometimes, I even feel as if I'm about to faint.

Luckily there's no vaccine that day! Woohoo! And I'm really happy that my test results came back good. My protein count is back to normal. But I can't eat a whole flank of steak just yet, I have to watch and maintain my protein levels so it won't get high again. My doctor gave me a new dog food to eat.

While at the vet, Kim took some photos of some less fortunate dogs. They're sick and I bet they've been through hell! Here' a poor guy...

I don't even know what breed he is or what's wrong with him. I don't even know if he's actually a he or she? All I heard was "Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark!" Now I understand why his owner put him in a cage...

No matter how bad my experience at the vet is, it's nothing compared to these two Pomeranians here. (Behind the first pom is another pom)

You see, these pomeranians practically live there in the clinic because they belong to the vet clinic's owner. Every time I visit the vet, I see these two locked up in their cages in the same exact spot as always. I never see them roaming around walking on the floor. It's always inside their cages for these two. I wouldn't want to trade places with them.

PJ's are Cool

Now that the climate is a bit colder, I need to wear pajamas at night. Pajamas isn't just there to make me look cuter, I wear this to prevent me from catching a cold. You see, when it's cold, sleeping in an air-conditioned room at night makes me a bit chilly. If I keep getting chilly, I'd definitely catch a cold. And people here do not like it if I have a cold because I'd just keep sneezing. And for a little dog like me, my sneeze is loud! ACHOO! Also, it's hard if you can't wipe your own nose when you sneeze. So, the (disgusting) thing I do is I just wipe it elsewhere, like, on Kim's legs or the upholstery. Believe me, they DO NOT like it when I do this.

Look at me, sound asleep on Kim's bed. I do tend to take over her bed. I follow the "first come, first serve" policy. Sadly, she does not! When she's ready to sleep, she'd push me to the side or to the bottom area of the bed. Worst is when she puts me back in my cage.

I only wear a pajama top. I don't wear bottoms because bottoms look silly on me. And it also makes it hard to walk. Actually, this isn't really a pajama but a tiny t-shirt. The print just makes it look like a pj.

Now that I'm all dressed up for bed, it's time for me to sleep... Goodnight!

Bad Habit Part 2

I'm already 3 years old (human years, I'm much older in dog days) and I still do my bad habit of licking my paws when I'm feeling sleepy. I really think I should stop this because it makes my paws stinky. And being stinky only leads to one thing - a bath.
